Master Jeremy Buchholz
Master Buchholz, our school's founder, was born and raised in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He has studied many martial arts beginning his training with the Korean arts of Taekwondo and Hapkido. He has also trained in the Northern Shaolin, Southern Hung Gar and Wing Chun Kungfu styles as well as Tai-Chi, Shuri-Ryu, Jui-Jitsu, Kobudo and others.

Master Buchholz has worked as a street cop in Colorado where he studied police and military defensive tactics. On the street he has put these along with his martial arts techniques to the test and found them to be very effective.

In the past Master Buchholz has worked extensively with inner city youth and juvenile delinquents and their families in Wisconsin, Indiana and Colorado. He has received several awards for his work including recognition from the Honorable Judge Payne of the Marion County (Indianapolis) Juvenile Court System.

Master Buchholz also spent time in Moscow Russia working with youth as well as teachers, work for which he received three United States Congressional Records.

In 1998, Master Buchholz returned to Western Wisconsin and began One Tree Martial Arts, an organization dedicated to teaching Christian people martial arts and how to use their skills to minister to others.

Since that time One Tree Martial Arts (OTMA) has grown to become a major learning center for the martial arts with programs in the Korean, Japanese and Chinese arts.

Master Buchholz' philosophy of teaching is to exhaust his knowledge of martial arts to any student who has a desire to learn and to diligently apply him or herself to their study. He is dedicated to teaching these arts based on a strong foundation of positive character to ensure that the student will always use his or her skills in a proper way.

Master Buchholz encourages anyone who has even the slightest interest in any aspect of the martial arts to inquire about training at one of OTMA's schools. The rewards will always be greater than anticipated.
